A Shakespeare Strategy Game of Magic, Marriage, and Murder!
The Play's the Thing
Welcome! We're excited to share our dramatic strategy game The Play's The Thing! and dive into the world of Shakespeare together!

About the Game
Dive into Shakespeare’s world with The Play’s the Thing, a strategic card game for 2–4 players (ages 10+, 30–45 min). Rich with allusions to Shakespeare's work, yet accessible to the player who's new to the Bard, this exciting strategy game constantly surprises and delights, weaving love, betrayal, and magic. Command characters like Juliet, Prospero, and Henry V to outwit rivals through Marriages, Murder, Performances, Manipulation, and Magic. The beautiful 136-card base deck allows each game to have different outcomes: Will you play a tragedy with a body-strewn stage at the end, a comedy with enchantment and marriage, or a history as royals jostle for the crown? A 16-page lore booklet with trivia, synopses, and QR codes to video notes makes it a gem for homeschoolers, theater fans, and families! Crafted by English teacher Tim Nance and his homeschooler daughter Cordelia, this game brings the Bard to life!
